Public Policy Committee

A Committee of the Board of Directors, the CHIP Public Policy Committee provides a forum for health policy dialogue in order to track key issues, identify problems, and propose solutions, in accordance with the values of CHIP. By working in a collective manner and achieving consensus on key issues, CHIP and its partners will more effectively advocate to improve the health of all San Diegans.

Focus Areas

  • Public Healthcare Programs (e.g. monitoring, barriers to access, eligibility simplification, etc.)
  • Health Reform / Access (e.g. expanding coverage, underinsured, uninsured, etc.)
  • Public Health (e.g. obesity, immunization, homelessness, alcohol issues, tobacco issues, etc.)
  • Financing and Budget Issues

Meeting Information

  • The Public Policy Committee meets on the fourth Thursday of every month from 8:30am - 10:00 am at the new CHIP Office (9370 Chesapeake Drive, Suite. 220, San Diego, CA 92123)
